Come Hop with Helmar and Ribbon Carousel

Today the Helmar Design Team are teaming up with the designers at Ribbon Carousel, to bring you a jam packed Hop filled with with crafty goodness!

Ribbon Carousel has some wonderful ribbon organizers and that is how this amazing company started. Today, we get to feature some other wonderful products that they carry, so hop along with us and have fun.

Now, lets talk prizes!

Hop along with us today and leave some blog love for our The Designers of Helmar and Ribbon Carousel for your chance to win!!

The Helmar prize is a complete 12 pack of Zapdots, including clear, black and white in circles and squares both in 1/4" and 1/2" sizes! The other prize up for grabs is a $20 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store!

I was sent a variety of beautiful Halloween ribbons. I put them all together to create one fun card filled with plenty of color and texture.

To make sure the ribbon stays where it should I used Helmar's Quick Dry 450 and black Zapdots to lift the bats.

Pretty In Pink

My sweet niece has proven that a touch of pink is all you need to look absolutely fabulous, darling! (in my catwalk voice)

I used My Little Shoebox's Cherry Delight collection once again (I seriously love it!) It brings out the "girly" in me.
I cut out a few die cut flowers and layered away with the help of Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive . It does the trick every time.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!

Whoooo Are You Thankful for?

Shaped cards are so fun to make, I love the paper piecing aspect of it. I made this card using my kit from Memorable Seasons. These fall papers from Jillibean's Pumpkin Chowder collection were so perfect for it, I couldn't be happier.

On Practical Scrappers this week we had a challenge to use flower punches in a unique way, I had a little fun with that. ;)

Finally, I challenged the gals from Memorable Seasons to think out of the box and create something other than a card or layout. I made this little mini calendar for my craft room using the same Jillibean kit.

The back of one of the Jillibean sheets has these small calendar months on it. I cut those out and attached them using brads. When the month is over I can simply rip it off to see the next month.

Have a great weekend!!

Quote Book with My Little Shoebox

Everyone needs a little uplifting once in a while, right?
I made this little quote book for a friend who I thought could use some cheering up.
I used My Little Shoebox's Cherry Delight collection along with great quotes I found on the internet.

This is really easy to make. Each of the My Little Shoebox collections comes with a sheet of cute journaling blocks. I cut out each of those and framed them with a Sizzix frame which happened to be the exact same size.

You can either hand write your quotes or copy and paste them like I did.

Tie the whole thing together with some coordinating ribbon and you've got a really nice "little something" for someone who needs it.

Thanks for stopping by, have a happy day!

Helmar Makes My World Go 'Round

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I am going to share a few projects I made with the industry's best glue - Helmar!

I have had this old vase taking up space in my cabinets for a few years now and I know I'll never use it so I decided to re-vamp it...

...into this candlestick!

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and fun this was to do. To make the thick twine stick to the vase I brushed on a little Helmar Decoupage at a time and then continued wrapping the twine around the vase until it was completely covered. I decorated it with some raffia and some nice, fall decorations. This is going to look great on my mantle.

Last but not least, the Helmar DT was lucky enough to partner up with Art Institute this week! I received some beautiful bottles of glitter and micro beads.

For the fall tree at the bottom, I used a mask and some mist for the dark color. Once that dried I drew some swirly shapes straight from my bottle of Helmar's Acid Free Glue. I poured on a thick layer of Art Institute's Ultrafine Pearlescent in Kiwi.
I even made little apple shapes by dotting on some glue with a Q-tip and pouring on some fun small glass beads in Oro Gold color.

The centers of my flowers were treated with more glass beads in red.

Check out the Helmar blog all week for more fun ideas and ways to use Helmar and Art Institute together.

These great papers used are Jillibean's Country Pumpkin Chowder collection from this month's Memorable Seasons kit.

A Little Bit Country

Its been a while since I scrapped just for fun. Well, its always fun but this layout wasn't made for a DT.
My husband's mom has horses and the kids love going to her house to ride them. She has boots and cowboy hats waiting for her grand kids to wear when they ride. She is so fun like that.

My little Mason loves country music and he's really "into" Jason Aldean right now. I love this picture of him, it looks like it belongs on the cover of a county music CD.

The cute little cowboy cut out from Pretty Little Studio couldn't be any cuter for my page.

And you know, I couldn't have made this page without the world's best glue... Helmar!

Feeling like fall with Memorable Seasons and Jillibean

I was so excited to see that my kit this month was full of goodies from Jillibean Soup's County Corn Chowder. The mornings are getting cooler here and scrapbooking with this collection makes it feel even more like fall. I'm loving it!

My boys wrestle...a lot. Its fun to see friends and cousins who don't have brothers to wrestle with come over and jump in on the fun - well, it's fun until someone gets hurt. ;)

8 is great! Thats for sure! I love this little guy.

There's Nothing Like Cousins

This is my first month of being an official DT member for Pretty Little Studio and I am loving it! Their stuff is so dang cute!!!
I made this LO using the new Sand Castle Collection. You've got to get your hands on this one.

My daughter is very blessed to have a sweet cousin her age. They love each other like great friends.

Pretty Little Studio has a large selection of vintage cut outs like these cute little kids here.

Next up I have a simple card that I made using the Clowning Around collection. The star is actually a journaling block that I scored and bent to make it dimensional. If you don't know how to make dimensional stars I have a simple tutorial on the PLS blog HERE.

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my Birthday!! Yay...Happy Birthday to me!

Therefore, I thought today would be the perfect day to post a few Birthday cards that I made for Jillibean Soup's month-long card challenge.
My first card is on today's  Practical Scrappers blog where we are featuring cards and layouts with the ever-so-popular hexagons.

I chose to make this money holder card in the shape of a giant hexagon and include hexagon printed paper.

There is plenty of time for you to play along with Jillibean's challenge too. They are accepting entries all month long.

Have a wonderful day...I am off to a lunch date with my hubby.

Cherry Delight -ful

Hello!! Today I'm going to share a few projects that I made using the new Cherry Delight collection from My Little Shoebox.
I created and covered this flower chipboard mini album with all sorts of Cherry Delight goodness.

I treated the cover with a window die cut and dressed it up with Cherry Delight stickers and 3D Roll Up flowers.
The back of my album is surrounded by ruffled doilies for great added texture and interest.

And finally, I have two cards to share with you using the same adorable collection.

Just A Note

You Make Me Smile

I can't wait to use this collection in the Spring when the cherry blossoms in DC make their beautiful debut. It really is a sight to see.

Thanks for stopping by today!
