Many Blessings

Every month on the Pretty Little Studio blog we have great challenges and sketches from the talented, Keri Babbitt. I love to play along and get creative.  For this particular sketch I strayed a little to make it work for me but I love the outcome.

For the flowers, I cut several sizes of circles. I got them wet in the ink, scrunched them up and let them dry overnight. The next day they are dried hard and have great texture for dimensional stacked flowers.

I love my beautiful girls and they are very lucky to have a dad who loves them and teaches them how a girl should be treated.

Everything here was glued down with Helmar's Acid Free Glue and Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Joyful Heart with Helmar

Hello! I'm getting in the Christmas spirit. Today I'd like to share  a joyful layout with you using papers from Authentique's Festive collection and of course the best adhesive ever, Helmar!

Could these papers be any more beautiful and jolly? I think not. :)

I cut out my own ornaments with my stash of die cuts and stung them with baker's twine. To give them extra dimension and height I used Helmar's foam Zapdots. This makes it look like they are actually hanging from the top of my page.
Make sure to use Helmar's Acid Free Glue on your layouts so your precious photos will last the test of time.

Sitting Beauty

I love mixing bright colors and patterns together. I found this great, simple guide on Pinterest. The guide is meant for home decor but it looks great for mixing scrapbook patterened papers as well.
I pulled the first combo together for my page below -polka dots and floral.

Sitting Beauty
I think my 13 yr old daughter is GORGEOUS! She is one of the lucky ones to be born with that beautiful red hair.

Love the paper? This is more of October Afternoon's Woodland Park from my kit this month at Memorable Seasons.

**Memorable Seasons is having an awesome Black Friday Sale and crop this weekend so you've got to stop by!**

Turkey Place Card with Pretty Little Studio and Helmar

Gobble Gobble!
I am really looking forward to our Thanksgiving feast this year. The side dishes are my favorite...sweet potatoes, green bean casserole....YUM!
This year I made cute, little simple Thanksgiving place cards and I'm going to show you how.

You will need to large scalloped dies and 2 small circle dies. (dies are Cheery Lynn Designs and Spellbinders.)

Cut the 2 large scallop circle dies into Pretty Little Studio's Apple Cider collection. Cut out plain brown paper with the smaller dies.

Cut the large scalloped circles about 2/3 the way down. Using the larger half arrange them using Helmar Foam Adhesive. Cut out the turkey’s face using scraps of paper and the eyes out of round foam adhesive. Write down the name on the banner which is being held by a toothpick.

To make the little guy stand up I folded a scrap paper and glued it to the back.

Smile with Memorable Seasons

**Read about the Memorable Seasons DT Call below**

This month at Memorable Seasons I am working with October Afternoon's Woodland Park . Talk about cute!! I love the variety of colors in this collection and of course the cute little critters are adorable - especially great for kid pages.

I have a few projects to share today and more to come later in the month.

To make the ruffled circle, I cut out a few doilies (3) with my die cut machine. I cut out the center circle of each doily. I then folded them in each direction and connected them to complete the look. Pretty easy.
======================================================

Being the youngest of 5 kids, as a young child I always wanted a younger sibling. Luckily my niece is just 10 years younger than me so we were very close growing up. Most people think we look like sisters. I would claim her my sister any day - I love this girl!
========================================================

Finally, a simple card to throw into the mix.

I must mention these projects wouldn't be possible without my favorite adhesives, Helmar.

**Memorable Seasons is looking for a new DT which will be starting in the month of January. This is an awesome online store to design for and each month you have your choice of the collection you want to design with. The call in ending soon, read about the specifics HERE. **

Happy Monday! And Happy Veteran's day to all of you veterans and families of veterans.
Are you addicted to Pinterest like most of the rest of us? I have found so many recipes (which I actually use) and ideas from Pinterest. Sometimes inspiration comes from ways you may not think...'pinterest-ing'.

Today on Practical Scrappers we are featuring projects that were inspired by pictures on Pinterest.

Love these papers? These are the new Glitz Cashmere Dame which I purchased from the Memorable Seasons store.

My inspiration came from this gorgeous dress. The colors and flowers gave me an idea for my layout.

**Practical Scrappers is having a DT Call. It is such a fun site to design for with a great group of ladies. Apply today!**

A Charming duo with My Little Shoebox

Thank you all for the kind comments from the post below. We still have a few more days before I can announce the winner so stay tuned...

I am indeed blessed to design for my favorite sites and manufacturers so it's a double bonus when we have swaps with other companies. This week the My Little Shoebox girls and I got to swap with Epiphany Crafts.
I was sent these great square bubble caps, charm and the tool to make them.

My daughter has a charm necklace that she wears almost every day so I made a charm for her using the Epiphany Crafts tool and paper from My Little Shoebox's Cherry Delight collection.

I love that it took me about 5 seconds to make but it looks so professional.

I also added a bubbly cap to this card below using the same Cherry Delight collection. The bubble caps are small so I added a gold micro beads border for added interest.

Check out the My Little Shoebox blog all week for more ideas.

Thanks for stopping by!

Helmar/ The Robin's Nest Hop Plus a Chance to Win!

Hello all!  I design for Helmar and this weekend we are teaming up with The Robin's Nest to bring you bring you TONS of Holiday inspiration that is sure to get you in the Holiday mood.

Gift giving is apart of the Holidays that I love and making the wrappings on those gifts wow them before they even open them up warms my heart.

The Robin's Nest has packaged flowers that are ready to be stacked and assembled for a great 3D look.

I stacked the flowers and adhered them with Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots for dimension. I added leaves and glittery silver and gold branches using Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to really make the flower stand out. I find that the Quick Dry glue is essential in crafting. It dries super quick and it has a really strong bond.
A cut out journaling tag was placed underneath the flower to finish the look. This would also be a great place to write who the gift is from.

Leave a comment on my blog and I get to choose one winner to receive a $10 Gift Certificate to Helmar. Robin's Nest will be offering the same for Robin's Nest purchases and we will also have a Grand Prize Winner of a $20 GC to Helmar. So be sure to comment here and throughout the whole hop for more chances to win.
