Partners in crime...when little boys get together that is what they become. Mischievous, rowdy, lovable boys! ;)

I used my Guest designer kit from Paper Secrets which is Jillibean Soup's Chilled Cucumber Soup. Swoon!

I based my layout on this month's 12x12 sketch for Scrap n' Art magazine created by yours truly. You can see the sketch with the designer's layouts HERE on their online site.

Another Paper Secrets Sketch Challenge
I have another sketch challenge for you to check out sponsored by Paper Secrets.

Try the sketch (with the added twist of using bling) and add your link to the Papers Secrets blog HERE by May 30th for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to their great shop.

I couldn't believe how well the sketch and topic worked with this Jillibean collection. My dog's name is Sunny and the collection includes plenty of phrases using that word. :)

May Practical Scrappers Sketch
Happy Friday to you all!
Here is the May sketch for Practical Scrappers and I must say, I really love how it turned out. The Practical Scrapper gals really blew my socks off with their interpretations of the sketch, you can see the inspiration HERE.

I am a cake decorator but my son requested a banana cream pie instead of cake this year. Sheesh!Go figure! :) It was delicious though.

If you dabble a little with this sketch, leave a pic/link of our new Practical Scrappers Facebook Page!!

It's a Bird...Its a Plane!
...well, actually it is a plane. I am loving this month's die release from Die-Versions. Its Planes, Trains and Automobiles!
We all know that scrapping for boys is a bit difficult, so many products and papers are floral and just don't work for little boys. That's why I was excited to see this masculine set of dies come out. The possibilities are endless.
Today I'd like to share a layout I made with the Die-Versions Sweet Petite Airplane Die.

I reversed the plane so it's the direction I prefer and cut out two pieces to make it look more dimensional.

You can find so much inspiration using these dies and many others on the Die-Versions BLOG.

Paper Secrets Sketch and Guest Designer
I am so thrilled to be this month's guest designer for Paper Secrets! Twice a month Paper Secrets has great sketch challenges from various sketch artists. I created the following sketch for their monthly sketch challenge with a twist for the first few weeks of May.

The twist to this sketch challenge is to use a Polaroid on your layout.

The Polaroid frames I used here are Jillibean Soup Placemats-white frames. You can find them in the Paper Secrets shop.

I used the entire Jillibean Soup "Chilled Cucumber" collection found HERE on the Paper Secrets store.
Want to get in on the action and win a $10 gift certificate to the Paper Secrets store?? Find out the details HERE on the Paper secrets blog.

Future All-Star
Hi there and happy Friday!
I haven't posted much lately, the kids have been keeping me busy with school projects and baseball. Baseball season around here is BIG! Both of my boys play baseball, my hubby coaches my oldest son's team and he plays on a softball team himself . B-U-S-Y!
Below is the April sketch for Practical Scrappers.

I came across this adorable picture of my now-9 yr old trying on a baseball batting helmet when he was just a little slugger. Little did we know that he would grow up to have such a love and talent for the game.

Papers Used: Fancy Pants "Little Sport" collection.
Check out the Practical Scrappers blog for more examples of the sketch from the DT.

Like Mother Like Daughter
Hey there! I decided to play along with this month's sketch challenge at My Mind's Eye. I loved the sketch, even if I didn't follow it to a T.

Banners have been in style for a while now and honestly, I don't think they are leaving us any time soon. I decided to make a large triangle banner on its side made up of smaller triangular strips. I outlined and roughed up each of the edges for a more whimsical look. Then again, what could be more whimsical with clouds and kites against a bright yellow background?

Journaling reads: " I love that Sidney likes to cake decorate just like I do. I look forward to decorating with her when she is older."
