Each of the kits are filled with scrumptious papers and embellishments; the only thing they need is you. Starting at just $16 (on the commitment-free autoship) the club is a wallet-friendly way to get samplings of all the newest treats on the market, stay within budget, and still enjoy your craft. And, like sitting in the kitchen with friends sharing recipes, there's a community to help you use your kits. You can swing by the Apron Strings Group to chit-chat. And there’s the monthly online, full color newsletter with wonderful examples by the design team. Joining Apron Strings is much more than just great kits, at make your husband happy-prices, it's about keeping you inspired to use them.
Lori, over at Apron Strings has generously donated this prize to one lucky winner. This is their Bigger Than A Breadbox April kit. Isn't their whole kitchen theme just the cutest?
Let's remind everyone how you can get your hot little hands on this prize. Every Monday I post a sketch with examples from our amazing DT. All you need to do is complete a LO based on the sketch and add it to Mr. Linky in the bottom of the post, starting with sketch 71. Its that easy and you have all month long! I will choose a winner by August 1st. Man, time is flying by!

June Winners!
I spent all morning looking through all of your fabulous entries this month. Once again Blogger is giving me grief so I couldn't comment on all of them, but I did see each and ever one of them. I promise!
They are all so great, I love seeing how everyone interprets the sketches. It makes me happy. :)
Now for June's winner. I chose this totally cute LO from Vanessa Glass. Vanessa used sketch 67 as her inspiration and I love the way it turned out. So sweet is right!

Congrats, Vanessa! You are the winner of that fabulous kit from our June sponsor, Scrapbookdeals4u!
Now for the random drawing from our followers...I used random.org and the magic winning number is 428 who happens to be lisanj_2003. Congrats, you have won a RAK from me just for following along!
Send me your mailing addies, ladies, and we'll get your prizes in the mail! lizchidester6@gmail.com

Puppy Love
I made it through to the 3rd round of the Last Scrapper Standing at Memorable Seasons! Whew! It is so tough to vote each week, there are always so many awesome entries. But now we are down to 10 and I am so happy to be among them. Here's mine, the requirememnts were to use a black base and homemade flowers. You can never go wrong with lollipop flowers.
Puppy Love

Our sweet doggy had puppies. No matter how hard we tried to keep her away from those males, we didn't succeed. But now we have to most adorable puppies to play with.
Here's what one of them looks like today. Cute and cuddly!
Next challenge for me: negative space and clusters.

Discover

The kids had a blast discovering crabs, sea enmities (however you spell it?) and lots of tiny little creatures in the tide pool.
Meeting The Pacific

We've been to the Atlantic plenty of times (we lived in VA for 5 yrs) but this is my kids' first time meeting the Pacific. They definitely noticed a difference between the two.
This Old House
This is the house my mom lived in when she was a teenager living in Coronado, CA. It has now been turned into a restaurant. Isn't it cool?
Thanks for letting me share!

An American Child
I've been participating in a contest over at one of my favorite sites, Memorable Seasons, called Last Scrapper Standing. I survived the first round of votes and now I'm on to the second. It feels just like American Idol! LOL!
The first challenge was to create a LO based on the theme "an American child" and to also incorporate stars and stripes somewhere on the LO. Here's what I came up with:
I wanted to steer clear of the traditional American colors so I added lots of colors and patterns. It may be alot but I love the way it turned out.
The next challenge is to use a black cardstock for the base and include all handmade flowers. The flowers are easy-peasy, the black is what worries me. We shall see what I come up with.
It's too late to officially join in the contest but you can still come play along for fun and I think door prizes. ;)

My California Vacation and Your Scrapbook Stash
This is my last month designing for Your Scrapbook Stash, **boohoo** and though I am sad to leave, I am excited about my new ventures. Your Scrapbook Stash recently introduced their new team and its fabulous!
Erica sent me the "Documentary" line from Studio Calico. It couldn't have been more perfect for my California vacation photos. I used this line with the "Homefront" collection from SC that I had in my stash. The 2 are the perfect combination.
...um, there's a lot to share.
California Vacation
Home Is Where You Are
Grandpa's Boys
Along The Coast
By The Sea
I wrote all of the journaling on the backs so I don't forget any moments or instances on our trip.
Have a happy hump day!(I hate that word) LOL!
