October My Creative Sketches SKETCH

Man, it has been a long time since I've updated my blog. My youngest son has been sick with strep followed by mono. Yeeeks! I'm looking forward to the day he can return to school. ;)

We have something extra special for you this month from My Creative Sketches!  In honor of My Creative Scrapbook's birthday,  Pam has put together not only one, but two gorgeous prize packs!  That's right, she is giving away two incredible prizes!  To play along, we have an extra special sketch...a two page sketch!!

Everyone who creates a two page layout will be put in the first prize drawing.

The second prize will be awarded to a random draw of the entire group.

So you have a much better chance of winning if you create a two page layout.

Practical Scrappers Sept Sketch

Hello all! The September sketch on Practical Scrappers is up on the blog.

So here is my question for the day. If you are a girl between the ages of 12 and 13, how do you remain cool when your parents drag you to Chuck E Cheese for your little brothers to play?

Answer: You grudgingly enter the premises and hog up the photo booth, posing like a supermodel with duck lips and sexy facial expressions.

Haha! These girls crack me up.

Check out more ideas on the Practical Scrappers blog using this sketch.

Its Sketch Challenge Time!

Check my previous post for the Die-Versions Blog Hop.

Are you all ready for a sketch challenge? If so, you are in luck because we have a fun one over at My Creative Sketches.
First let me show you the prize pack to get you really interested. ;)

Interested yet? Good...here is the sketch...

The designers did a fabulous job showcasing the possibilities for this sketch. Here is what I created:

Some might think its odd to scrapbook a page about your child seeing the dentist but I thought my son would have a screaming melt-down at the dentist office (I was preparing for it) but he didn't at all. I love that the dentist offices cater so well to children now with earphones to watch TV and listen to music. It was such a relief.

All of the sketch challenge detail can be found HERE.
Deadline is October 14th.

Good luck and have fun!

Die-Versions BLOG HOP

Welcome to our first ever BLOG HOP!
I have really enjoyed being on this DT thus far...the dies are amazing! They are so intricate and they cut really super smooth.
I have so many favorites but this Bug Jar die, (which obviously can be used as a cute canning jar), is on the top of my favorites list.

I have also loved the recent Die-Versions releases that focus on boys. The scrapbooking industry tends to lean towards girly themes with a floral focus (hey, I love flowers myself) but it's nice for us parents of boys to have more options.

Dies used on layout:
Boys Will Be Boys cube
Super Stars Wee Petites
Triangle Corner Concepts
Cow Sweet Petite

We have some AWESOME prizes if you participate in our hop.

Here are the details:

Hoppers will need to comment on all the blog stops and then on the last stop (store blog) tell us which die out of all the projects they have seen was their favorite. The winners will be randomly chosen from the design teams blogs so make sure to comment on ALL stops as well as on Facebook to increase your chances of winning.
End date is Sept 22nd.

Grand Prize - $50 gift certificate to be used in the store

5 lucky participants will receive $10 gift certificate

Day Three of My Creative Scrapbook

Continuing on with my layouts made with September's fabulous Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook...
I have an I Phone hijacker and she is only 12 years old. Haha! It seems like every time I turn on my phone there's a crazy, new picture of her. She is loaded with personality and I love it!!

Love the chalkboard paper in the kit too!

You still have a chance to get a kit of your very own.

Sunday Sweets: 1st Birthday

Hello all! Today I want to share a cake I made for an adorable little girl turning one. My friends who ordered the cake gave me the green light to do whatever I thought would be cute for a girl's 1st birthday. I am really loving owls lately so I chose that for my theme.

That's all for today, have a sweet Sunday!
