Today was my girls' first day back to school after a week of Spring Break. They had to walk to the bus stop in the snow!! Go figure! How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Despite the crazy weather I've got a new sketch for you.

First off, I am so sorry this is a day late. We got home late last night. A good friend of ours passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday so we headed up to Utah for the funeral. Well aren't all deaths usually unexpected? She was way too young to die. She left behind 10 kids and many many friends. Be sure to tell your loved how much you love them.

Get Your Green On!

St. Patrick's Day honors St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. We celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 17. Americans march in parades, dance the Irish jig and gather to sing Irish songs. People wear green in memory of Ireland, the Emerald Isle and wear shamrocks, clover with three leaves.

March 17 was not the day St. Patrick was born but the day he died. Even though we don't know the date of his birth, most scholars believe the year was 385 AD and the year of his death was 461 AD.

St. Patrick was born in Wales, studied religion to become a priest and then went to Ireland to teach the people about God. There are many wonderful stories about St. Patrick, some true and some not true. The most famous legend is that he drove the snakes out of Ireland. This did not happen but the Irish will tell you that you cannot find a snake throughout the whole country of Ireland.

A New Discovery

Thank goodness its Friday, right? Man, I'm happy about it! And I'm happy to tell you about a new maufacturer I recently discovered. They're called GCD Studios. Forbidden Pleasure

I entered this LO into the Serendipity Scrapbooks "Guilty Pleasures" contest and I won the grand prize! When I think of a guilty pleasure I naturally think of Coke, though now, thanks to my dentist, it is my forbidden pleasure.



As you can tell, I had so much fun making this wild and crazy LO.

Hello scrappy gals! Hope you are all having spring-like weather where you are. Its around 75 degrees all week. I just wish the wind would stop blowing. I found a corner of the house where the wind is blocked so I was able to take some sunny pics of my most recent LOs. Here they are:
