I made it through to the 3rd round of the Last Scrapper Standing at Memorable Seasons! Whew! It is so tough to vote each week, there are always so many awesome entries. But now we are down to 10 and I am so happy to be among them. Here's mine, the requirememnts were to use a black base and homemade flowers. You can never go wrong with lollipop flowers.
Puppy Love
Our sweet doggy had puppies. No matter how hard we tried to keep her away from those males, we didn't succeed. But now we have to most adorable puppies to play with.
Here's what one of them looks like today. Cute and cuddly!
Next challenge for me: negative space and clusters.

Queen Bee Beauty
This week at QueenScraps we are featuring this Pink Paislee Queen Bee kit. Oh man, I love it!! I bought a few add-ons from the store and scrapped away.
You can gets yours HERE.
Discover
The kids had a blast discovering crabs, sea enmities (however you spell it?) and lots of tiny little creatures in the tide pool.
Meeting The Pacific
We've been to the Atlantic plenty of times (we lived in VA for 5 yrs) but this is my kids' first time meeting the Pacific. They definitely noticed a difference between the two.
This Old House
This is the house my mom lived in when she was a teenager living in Coronado, CA. It has now been turned into a restaurant. Isn't it cool?
Thanks for letting me share!

An American Child
I've been participating in a contest over at one of my favorite sites, Memorable Seasons, called Last Scrapper Standing. I survived the first round of votes and now I'm on to the second. It feels just like American Idol! LOL!
The first challenge was to create a LO based on the theme "an American child" and to also incorporate stars and stripes somewhere on the LO. Here's what I came up with:
I wanted to steer clear of the traditional American colors so I added lots of colors and patterns. It may be alot but I love the way it turned out.
The next challenge is to use a black cardstock for the base and include all handmade flowers. The flowers are easy-peasy, the black is what worries me. We shall see what I come up with.
It's too late to officially join in the contest but you can still come play along for fun and I think door prizes. ;)

My California Vacation and Your Scrapbook Stash
This is my last month designing for Your Scrapbook Stash, **boohoo** and though I am sad to leave, I am excited about my new ventures. Your Scrapbook Stash recently introduced their new team and its fabulous!
Erica sent me the "Documentary" line from Studio Calico. It couldn't have been more perfect for my California vacation photos. I used this line with the "Homefront" collection from SC that I had in my stash. The 2 are the perfect combination.
...um, there's a lot to share.
California Vacation
Home Is Where You Are
Grandpa's Boys
Along The Coast
By The Sea
I wrote all of the journaling on the backs so I don't forget any moments or instances on our trip.
Have a happy hump day!(I hate that word) LOL!

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun
Your Scrapbook Stash is sponsoring a cute challenge blog called Scrap It With A Song. This week the challenge is to make a LO based on the song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by the incredible Cyndi Lauper. I loved her as a kid and I loved watching her on the Celebrity Apprentice. A few of the YSS DT members, including myself, participated in the challenge. Here's what I created:
