Sun kissed

Are we all having a happy Memorial day? My DH is off today so we took the kids to see "Night at the Museum". I give it 2 thumbs up. It was so cute and funny!
So some of you know I am doing the Plum Star Challenge at Vintage Plum. Last week's challenge is to use some sort of medium on your LO. I don't do messy, but I do love mediums. So I made this LO using ink and Stickles as my medium. The sketch is from Pamela over at Scrapbook Challenges. The patterned paper is the new Lime Rickey from Basic Grey. LOVE IT!! And the white cardstock is from Scrapbuck.com. If you haven't checked them out yet, you totally must!

My poor little boy got so burned. His dingy mommy forgets that we live at a higher altitude now so she can't forget the sunblock! Good thing it was gone by the next day.

We also had to made a card or LO for a friend. I made this card for my dear friend who I miss so much since moving. Almost all of the supplies come from Scrapbuck.com.

Thanks for looking!

Pretty Please

I got my package from Memorable Seasons for my guest design team spot and it was so hard not to get playing right away. So I didn't wait. They sent me the "Pretty Please" line from My Mind's Eye. They must've know MME was one of my faves (next to Pink Paislee of course). Here are a few LOs I created:

The Look

If I Were A Pioneer

I also entered If I Were A Pioneer into the Plum Star Search over at Vintage Plum. The challenge this week is to get cutting. So I hand cut all the flowers and flourishes.

All of the paper is from MME, but the family sticker is from Scrapbuck.

A Mother's Love

There is a legend that an angel came to earth to take something beautiful back to heaven, and he took a bouquet of poppies, a baby's smile, and a Mother's love. When he reached the heavenly realms the poppies had withered, the baby's smile had vanished, but the mother's love endured forever. -Author Unknown

Happy Mother's day to all of you beautiful mothers, aunts, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and friends. Let yourself be pampered today.

Its a day for winners

There was such a large amount of entries this month with sketch 7 as our design team call. But we've sorted through them and have found a winner. My friend Sue chose our winner and she chose this LO from Carla:

My friend Sue emailed me her reasoning: "I'm a sucker for beautiful sunsets. I love the color combo she used and I love those hinges on the left."

And for our "follow my blog" contest. Again, I used Random.org. The number that came up was 27 which happens to be.......................Jenny (Camp Kennedy).

Congrats Carla and Jenny!! Email me with your addy and I'll get these Rusty Pickle kits out to you.

Tomorrow I will post our May giveaway.

Sketch 11

Good morning! And what a good morning it is. We just back from another quick weekend trip to Utah where we had a little get together with my family. (We hadn't been all together in over 6 years). And though it was loads of fun, its always good to come back home. Even if I do have tons of laundry to do.
Here's our next sketch.
