Hey, you guys. I am a bit stranded here in Utah. My husband decided to go on an "overnight" trip with his brother (he drives semi-trucks), ya...4 days later and he's still gone. And I'm still here and I can't drive home without him.
So....I am so sorry for those of you waiting to hear about the new DT. I haven't made a decision or contacted anyone yet but I do have my list of favorites at home.
Man, I am having major scrapping withdrawals!!! Seriously.
Have a happy Thursday and I hope to be back on soon.

Delay
The design team call is now closed -thank you for all of your fabulous entries! I am overwhelmed. I have a ton to look through and I will be contacting the chosen ladies sometime this week.
I also had to go out of town for a few days so this week's sketch will be delayed a day or two. Have a great Monday and I'll be back soon!

Summer Spinach Salad recipe
I've got a great recipe to share with you today. I'm a woman, it's my duty to share secrets and tips for others to enjoy. Right??
Is this not the most beautiful salad you've ever seen? And it tastes as good as it looks! The dressing is so sweet and tangy and goes just right with the strawberries.
Summer Spinach Salad with Strawberries and Poppy Seed Dressing
2 pkgs baby spinach leaves
1 small red onion. thinly sliced
24 strawberries, halved
1 small pkg pecans
Toss pecans with a tsp butter, 1/4 tsp sugar and 1/8 tsp cinnamon. Bake on a cookie sheet for 5 minutes until toasted- watch closely. Cool.
In a bowl, combine spinach, onion, strawberries and toasted pecans. Toss with Poppy Seed dressing.
Poppy Seed Dressing
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 cup olive oil
In a pan combine sugar, mustard, salt and vinegar. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Transfer mixture to a blender and add oil. Mix until it thickens. Add about 1 Tbsp poppy seeds. Refrigerate.
Yumminess!

Sketch 74
Hello scrappy friends! I just got back from a weekend of camping with my family. I am a city girl all the way who married a country boy. The poor guy never gets to go anymore so I have to give in once in a while. A marriage is about compromise, right? We did have lots fun even though is was really, really dirty. At least I took a few great pics for scrapping. :)
Here is this week's sketch:

So Happy Together
Happy Thursday everybody! The weekend is almost here!
I created this LO and incorporated it to fit in with a few challenges.
First of all, I themed my LO around the song 'So Happy Together' by the Turtles for this week's challenge at Scrap It With A Song. This is one of my favorite new challenge blogs.
I used a sketch from Liz Qualman for this month's sketch challenge at Sweet Peach Crop Shop.
I love the way it turned out and I do love when my girls are getting along. :)
I hope you try the challenges!

Isn't it DeLovely?
QueenScraps is now offering a large kit each month along with the original weekly kits. For July we have this Cosmo Cricket DeLovely kit up for sale for $19.99. Fabulous!!!
I had the opportunity to play with this kit and I adore it! It is so fun and bright and easy to create beautiful pages with. Here's what I created:

It's All Good (sketch 71)
Let The Magic Begin
