Garden Variety

No not the scrapbook line (though I love that collection from Cosmo) but the real thing. We have received so much rain from this monsoon season here in AZ that all of our neighbors' gardens have thrives immensely. We did not plant one this year so thankfully our friends and neighbors are sharing the bounty.
Here's what a friend of ours brought over yesterday.

I bet you can only imagine what I made. Oh yaaaaa...salsa! This is my favorite thing to make towards the end of summer. Its so yummy and so good for you! All I needed to add from my pantry was fresh garlic, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Yum! I don't use a food possessor or salsa maker, I love to chop it up into yummy chunks.

(sorry for the pic of the dirty bowl). I couldn't wait to dig in it.

So tell me, how does your garden grow?

With You

I am excited to share some fun news with you. I made the DT for a great challenge blog called Scrap It with A Song. A new challenge is posted every week based on a particular song. They have great sponsors and I love the way the songs get me thinking, ya know? This week the challenge is to create a LO based on the song "With You" by Jessica Simpson.

This is my son with his favorite Aunt Kristi. They have a unique, special bond like no other.

You've gotta try the challenges over at Scrap It with A Song. You can even combine the challenges there with the sketches I post. ;) Two for one!!

Playing catch up!

This month I am working on the August KaiserCraft kit from QueenScraps. I have played with a few pieces from this KaiserCraft LeChateau line but now I got to work with the whole thing! Yay!

You Hold The Key

I love the combination of the blue and brown and all of the key/birdcage elemenets. I have plenty more to go with this kit. I think I can make at least 3 more LO's. You can get yours for less than 20 bucks HERE.

July Winners!

Thank you all for your beautiful entries last month. Once again, amazing!! I looked through them all but everytime I leave a comment on blogger lately, it opens up like 50 windows. It drives me crazy so I did look through them, I just didn't comment. :)

I chose Bronwyn for our July winner. Bronwyn used sketch 71 to create this beautiful LO. I love the way she flipped it to make it work with her photos.

Great job Bronwyn, you are the winner of these fabulous kits from our July sponsor, Apron Strings.

I used Random.org to choose the "follow my blog" winner and the computer chose #434 who happens to be bubzig. Congrats, bubzig, you've won a RAK from me just for following along!

Ladies, please email me your addies and I'll get your prizes out to you.

Thank you Apron Strings for sponsoring The Scrappiest!

Sketch 75

I'm ba-ack! Its good to be home, now life can go on as normal. My little guy started the 1st grade today. He was so nervous, I felt bad for him. I know he'll do great. Next week it'll be my girls' turn. I put my son in a charter school to see if he'll do better there. Ya know, some kids just don't get into school and I'm afraid he's one of them.
So sorry we had to skip last week. Onto another sketch...

Sketch 75

This'll be a few of the DT members' last reveal. I really have enjoyed working with all of you! Opening up my inbox and seeing your creations are like opening up a gift. Really! Thank you all for your time and talent.
