Practical Scrappers Sept Sketch

Hello all! The September sketch on Practical Scrappers is up on the blog.

So here is my question for the day. If you are a girl between the ages of 12 and 13, how do you remain cool when your parents drag you to Chuck E Cheese for your little brothers to play?

Answer: You grudgingly enter the premises and hog up the photo booth, posing like a supermodel with duck lips and sexy facial expressions.

Haha! These girls crack me up.

The designers did a fabulous job showcasing the possibilities for this sketch. Here is what I created:

Some might think its odd to scrapbook a page about your child seeing the dentist but I thought my son would have a screaming melt-down at the dentist office (I was preparing for it) but he didn't at all. I love that the dentist offices cater so well to children now with earphones to watch TV and listen to music. It was such a relief.

I have really enjoyed being on this DT thus far...the dies are amazing! They are so intricate and they cut really super smooth.
I have so many favorites but this Bug Jar die, (which obviously can be used as a cute canning jar), is on the top of my favorites list.

I have also loved the recent Die-Versions releases that focus on boys. The scrapbooking industry tends to lean towards girly themes with a floral focus (hey, I love flowers myself) but it's nice for us parents of boys to have more options.

Day Three of My Creative Scrapbook

I have an I Phone hijacker and she is only 12 years old. Haha! It seems like every time I turn on my phone there's a crazy, new picture of her. She is loaded with personality and I love it!!

Sunday Sweets: 1st Birthday

Hello all! Today I want to share a cake I made for an adorable little girl turning one. My friends who ordered the cake gave me the green light to do whatever I thought would be cute for a girl's 1st birthday. I am really loving owls lately so I chose that for my theme.

My bunch is a little crazy, but a good kinda' crazy and I love it that way. They each are so different, sometimes I am amazed that they're all related. Haha!

I was thrilled to be asked to stay on for another month as a Guest designer at My Creative Scrapbook and it was just announced today that I will be joining them as a permanent designer. Yay! I LOVE MCS kits as many of you do.
Here is the glorious Main Kit featured this month:

This kit seems to include all of the latest trends in scrapbooking like chalkboard, ombre, chevron, teal and coral, chipboard frames and Prima flowers.  I adored it!!!

Sweet Sunshine and a SKETCH

So...school starts tomorrow. I am excited and nervous for my sweet kids, but more happy that I will have a quiet household during the day. ;) Perhaps I will have more scrap time too! Yessss!!!
I created this sketch and made a coordinating layout using a summer theme.

My kids LOVE swimming. They could spend every day there if I'd allow it.
